dbWindow 3.0 removes all the stumbling blocks to using a database with MicroStation
An orphan linkage would be a database linkage that is attached to an element but there is no corresponding record in the database. The Orphan Linkages utilities can be accessed from the Graphics pull-down menu. The Create Orphan Report... option will open the dialog shown below.
Any element found to have an orphan linkage can have their level, color, style, and weight modified. Users may choose to have the orphan linkages detached as they are found or delete the element found to have orphan linkages. One or more files can be processed for generating the orphan linkage report.
Once an orphan report has been created, the Create Orphan Report... option will open the dialog shown below in order to display the report.
Users can view the report, locate elements in the report, detach linkages from elements in the report, or delete elements in the report.
