dbWindow 3.0 removes all the stumbling blocks to using a database with MicroStation
dbWindow can now help users track modified records by setting a user specified column to a user specified value. If a modify column and value have been designated, then any dbWindow operation that either updates or inserts a database record will in turn mark that record's modify column with the modify value.
This command is very useful for field personnel or remote office locations where users are modifying database information. The user can Export all modified rows to an ASCII dump file to send to the main office where the database is maintained; the main office can quickly review and Import those modified rows. This command is also very useful in any organization where the database information is sensitive and changed data must be tracked.
If the keyword DATE is given as the modify value, then each time a record is modified the modify column will receive the current date.
