Any text file containing formatted data can be imported. If the file is character delimited, simply specify the delimiter character. If the file has a fixed column width format, simply specify the column widths used; and if the file is known to contain tabs, then specify the tab width to use for proper column alignment.

If a file header exists, it should probably be ignored so simply specify the number of lines to ignore at the beginning of the file.

If comments are present throughout the file, simply specify the beginning and/or ending defining comment character sequences and they will be ignored during the import.

If the records being created by the import need to have mslink values, simply set a toggle and dbWindow will generate them for you automatically.

After choosing what table to import into, carefully move column names in a certain order from the Available list to the Order list to specify the column format to be expected in the text file; you can even specify to skip unwanted fields of data in the file.

You need to download dbWindow to try all the powerful features.
